Miranda Easten is a dynamic singer, songwriter, radio presenter, and author whose career spans multiple creative disciplines. With an early foundation in music, Miranda worked alongside renowned musician Greg Johnson, contributing as executive producer on his Swing the Lantern album and collaborating on Stars & Dreams. She was also part of the duo The Manuka Set, alongside Vanessa Kelly of Deep Obsession.
As a solo artist, Miranda launched her career in 2019 with the release of her debut album Behind Unbroken Strings, recorded at Roundhead Studios in Auckland with internationally acclaimed producer Greg Haver (Melanie C, Opshop, Kimbra). The album marked a significant milestone in her journey, with the debut single “Cowboy Lullaby” reaching #16 on the Official Top 40 Country Music Chart in Australia. Miranda was also featured on the Voices of Country compilation album, released by Compass FM.
Her 2021 single “Country Boy” achieved significant success, peaking at #25 on the Australian charts and earning airplay on major U.S. networks, including Country Music Network, MTV, and CMT. Miranda's songwriting talent has earned her recognition as a semi-finalist in the prestigious International Songwriting Competition (ISC) multiple times.
In 2022, Miranda’s single “View From Here” claimed the #1 spot on the Tasmanian charts, with its music video dominating the American Taste of Country platform for several weeks. Her second album, Concrete & Honey, released in July 2023, saw recordings take place across the United Kingdom and New Zealand, collaborating with a diverse group of international producers and musicians. The album debuted at #6 on the Official NZ Albums Chart, cementing her status as a rising star in country music.
Alongside her music career, Miranda co-wrote the track “Listen to the Stars” with the celebrated Delaney Davidson, which featured on his album Out of My Head. She also completed a successful national tour of New Zealand in May 2024, with standout performances at Gore's Tussock Country Festival and the TSB Festival of Lights in New Plymouth. In addition, Miranda served as a judge for the prestigious Golden Guitar Awards.
In addition to her work as a singer and songwriter, Miranda is also an accomplished poet and short story writer. The show airs weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., where Miranda brings her love for country music to a wider audience.
Miranda Easten's love for supercars, particularly her iconic 1981 DeLorean, has made her a fixture in automotive circles. She has been featured in multiple publications, from gracing the covers of several automotive magazines, to TV appearances including international documentaries.
Miranda is currently preparing her third studio album, slated for release in 2025, as she continues to evolve as an artist, storyteller, and radio personality.
